Pixel Style2014 | Download (zip)
This is a small plugin for Blender that makes it easier and faster to set up textures for a pixelized look. It only changes what things look like in the viewport.
- Download the file and put it anywhere on your computer.
- Start up Blender and go to File > User Preferences… > Addons.
- Press Install From File… at the bottom of the window and open the downloaded file.
- Now only the Pixel Style addon should be visible in the window, check the checkbox at the right of it to activate the addon.
The addon can be found in the material properties, make sure to select an object and create a material for it, otherwise it won’t show up.
Apply settings tweaks some settings of the current material and the texture in the first texture slot for that material. It activates usage of transparency, UV coordinates, turns on shadeless, unwraps it if it has no UVs and so on.
Pixelize turns on or off the mipmap setting in the user preferences. This is what creates the pixelized look of the textures.
